About the Texas Regional Radio Report:

‘The time came for a resource information project that would present a larger more comprehensive tool available to assist in the development of an enormous and growing number of Texas’ Talent…’

In January 2004, the Texas Regional Radio Report was initiated and made available to all interested in the Texas Music Industry. This chart-based publication was developed to bring credible recognition to the sizeable assortment of music being played in this “regional” market. It has a purpose to help promote Texas Music and the artists that perform that music throughout the great region of Texas…and beyond. It can assist in the development of an artists’ recording career by authenticating the activity of their music being played within the Texas Regional radio network as well as give the artist a sense of direction and conviction in the Texas music scene.

While the Texas Regional Radio Report supports and promotes the Texas Artists, it also understands that an extreme variety of “Texas Music” is released to radio daily. Likewise, we know that “Texas Music” is not the only music regional Texas radio is receiving and playing in a 24 hour clock. Radio programming is offering to it’s listeners all combinations, styles and sounds of music be it Texas or Nashville, Mainstream or Country, Country Rock or Americana while not forgetting the definitive historical sounds of Texas Swing … all of which melts together into music for the World! Let's Help Hurricane Sandy Victims!!!

Monday, Nov 19, 2012 1:45 pm

Howdy!
I was recently touched by a fan who hand made a blanket for me! What an amazing gift! Needless to say I was really moved by the gesture and it got me thinking…
I would love to show the same courtesy to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. So many people are still without power and/or a home and they need our help! When I wrap up in the blanket I was given, I am warmed by its fibers and the heart of the sweet person who made it. It truly gives me hope while pursuing my dreams out on the road!
I want to share the same feelings of warmth, comfort and hope with those who have lost so much as a result of Hurricane Sandy. I know it’s not much but I hope to start the healing process for our fellow Americans. Hopefully, some of my fellow artists will join me and donate to the cause as well! I believe we can make a real difference in the wake of one of the worst storms in recent memory.
So what am I asking of you?!
On behalf of the Dunn Good Foundation, I want to donate at least 100 hand made blankets for the families victimized by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. The deadline for blankets is Wednesday December 19th. That gives us a little over 2 weeks to make AT LEAST 100 blankets. I myself will make as many as humanly possible (and I’ve already started!!) The blankets will be donated to Occupy Sandy, a New Jersey based relief organization.
The blankets that I have chosen to donate for this project are called Tie Blankets. They are very simple to make and do NOT require a sewing machine! Here’s a quick how to video I found on youtube:
If you do not have time or are unable to make a blanket but would like to help, you can click HERE to make a donation through Paypal. I’ve made a few blankets already and the materials cost around $20.00 per blanket. If you are gracious enough to contribute, I’ll make sure your donation is put toward the rehabilitation of our storm stricken neighbors through the warm gesture of giving! How fitting seeing as Thanksgiving is right around the corner!
All finished blankets can be sent to the following address to be received on or before December 19, 2012:
Attn: Kimberly Dunn
C/O Alpha Facilities Solutions
11503 NW Military HWY, Suite 300,
San Antonio, TX 78231
Thanks for taking the time to read all this, I hope you’ll consider helping out!
Warmest regards,
Kimberly
